Self challenge time

Monday this guy and I will begin morning runs for 30-45 minutes. I will be joining the county rec and swim 1 mile everyday. (Have been swimming with a work colleague, but genuinely had the potential as a teen and young adult to have become a world class swimmer)

I will not consume ice cream, brownies, cookies, cakes, candies, Chick-fil-a or any takeout for the next 6 months. I will only eat one animal based protein per day (eggs, lean red meat, chicken, turkey). I will drink between 1-2 gallons of water per day. I will eat mostly vegetables, fruits, brown rice and black beans for the next six months. Exceptions: I will only eat one meal on Thanksgiving and one meal on Christmas which will not include any pies, cakes, ice creams, candies, etc.

Disclaimer: I am on vacation in Michigan and realized that I have gone full on dadbod in only three years of marriage and at only age 30. Weight does not matter, but physical visceral fat loss does. When I return to the office on Tuesday, I will continue doing my hourly 40-50 push-ups.

I will check in from time to time for accountability purposes.

I love it and support it- but dogs don’t always do well with long distance runs. Look it up, and be safe.

I refuse to run unless someone bigger is chasing me.

I will join you in your quest for weight loss though. By taking longer and more frequent walks with Lloyd, eating better and maybe consuming less Beer. A solid maybe on that last one.

If you think it’s hard at 30 just wait. I have 10 years on you. It gets worse.

30-45 minutes will be by no means long distance and also, that right there is a Brittany. A field trial, bird pointing dog that loves and needs to run run run.

He is a year old now and has hit his body maturity. Typically, a gun dog his age would be working with a pro trainer pulling a plow for an hour or so for field conditioning.

I offset his diet to a higher fat and carb content food during the hit months and then roll back to higher protein during the cool months. This enables him to hold more water in his muscle tissue when exerting himself physically. If you don’t offset their diet, they can start hunting water instead of quail-pheasant-doves-chuck or worse have a heat stroke.

If it makes you feel any better two of them were 204 with crap talents. The other was a 229 but the talents are average if memory serves.

Also, RNG has been a cruel mistress to me as well. I had a sweet 229 lightweight M4 drop, I just wanted fierce in the free slot. So far I’ve probably spent 1500 bird bucks and it’s still Competent.
